End of Year Checklist

When I started delivering the KS1 and KS2 courses, I gave out year end checklists to those who attended. This was a list of ‘goals’ that the government expected your child to achieve by the end of that academic year. It was a list of maths terms and very ‘dry’. Feedback from parents was ‘can you create something that allows us to check our children against this checklist but in a fun, engaging and discrete way?’. And, as if by magic, here you go!

The End of Reception Year (EYFS) Checklist for Mathematics is now published and available either as a download or a posted hardcopy via the website shop. The 16-page booklist contains the goals expected to be achieved by the end of reception year, a detailed checklist and 8 pages of fun filled, interactive and engaging tasks that you can do with your child to allow you to assess against these goals and start working towards key stage 1 curriculum.

The Maths Mum is hard at work on the subsequent years and Key Stage 1 - end of Year 1 and Year 2 - booklets are underway and I’m hoping that they will be published in the coming weeks.
